  • The Six Nations Tournaments
    The Six Nations tournament is a competitive rugby union team contested annually by the teams of England, Scotland, France, Wales, Ireland and Italy. It inherited the five-nation tournament, which was not involving Italy, which had succeeded to the four nations, which, from 1882-1883, was a purely British tournament with matches involving England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. France was admitted in 1910 and Italy in 2000. The winner is declared "European Champion".
